We are seeking a highly motivated Fire Protection Engineer (m/f/d) for our Data Center Business Unit in Vienna, Austria.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Design and review fire protection and life safety systems (sprinklers, detection, suppression, alarm, etc.) for data center facilities
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and client-specific standards
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including MEP, civil, structural, and IT engineers
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and modeling for fire suppression systems
  • Oversee fire safety systems installation during the construction phase
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide technical solutions for fire hazards in mission-critical environments
  • Interface with local AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) and support permitting processes
  • Support commissioning, inspections, and system testing to ensure fire systems are fully operational

Show your expertises

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
  • MSeveral years of experience in fire protection design, preferably for mission-critical or industrial projects
  • Deep knowledge of NFPA standards, fire codes and best practices
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools; knowledge of fire modeling software a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Fluent in English, ideally also in German
