Discover your exciting role

The Senior Field Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for performing on-site inspections and surveys to understand project requirements, challenges, and installed scopes of work.  Will coordinate with Procurement, Construction, Scheduling, and Project Controls teams.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Interface with sub-contractors to understand scopes of work being performed.
  • Working knowledge of Schedule of Values (SOV) and Scope of Work (SOW) documents.
  • Oversee and value subcontractors' work, ensuring timely payments and progress tracking.
  • Involved in validating subcontractor change order requests as part of the change management process.
  • Prepare reports and quantity take-offs from Engineered drawings 
  • Reviews subcontractor and vendor bid packages 
  • Understanding of engineered drawings.
  • Understanding of process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID). 
  • Ability to read and interpret material/equipment specifications.
  • Adhere to safety and compliance regulations 
  • Other duties as assigned

Show your expertise

  • High School Diploma or GED required 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • 5+ years of experience in the commercial or industrial construction industries. 
  • Experience as Estimator, Field Engineer, Superintendent, or General Foreman.
  • Experience working on engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning (EPCC) projects is required 
  • Experience in commercial building, clean room and tool install construction desired 
  • Experience with the following software applications preferred: Trimble GCEstimator (WinEst, Modelogix, Vico) and Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, etc) and other estimating software.
  • Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and engineering software.
  • BIM estimating experience desired 
  • Bluebeam Revu
  • Primavera (P6)
