Job Summary

The Process Designer II provides design support of the Process Systems to produce construction documents for the following systems: high purity gases and chemicals, upstream and downstream biologics processing, small molecule synthesis, fill/finish, high purity water, waste treatment, and clean and support utilities, controls, and the like.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists in developing Process Systems construction documents using architectural background layouts and system performance requirements defined by the project team including the architect, engineer and project manager
• Assists in pre-design project activities, such as site assessment, site plan review, and verification of as built conditions
• Assists project team to find optimum system sizing, routing, materials, and space management for ductwork and piping systems
• Assists senior staff with services during construction, including responding to RFIs, shop drawing and submittal review, and as-built drawings
• Coordinates with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering/ internal and external)
• Assists in developing projects in compliance with engineering codes, standards, principles, relevant specifications and contractual requirements
• Assists in the production of construction documents under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and coordinate with other disciplines
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
• Mentor interns and junior members of project teams
• Assists in the development of construction drawings, details, schedules and diagrams for process systems
• Assists in performing quality control reviews of work developed by others
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements


• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of experience
• Associates degree with technical focus preferred
• Advanced Technology experience preferred
• Autodesk Building Systems Software
• Experience working within a team environment
• Experience in the quality control review process
• Experience contributing to continuous improvement processes
• Good time management skills, strong work ethic and attention to details
• Proficient in the use of Autodesk Building Systems Software
• Individual must possess strong communication and organizational skills
• Strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships
• Energetic and self-motivated
