Job Summary

Responsible for planning, monitoring, and reporting the general project design and production process including inter-disciplinary coordination. Must ensure the overall project design and production process is conducted following the prescribed Company processes and procedures and in accordance with the stipulated project budget and schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities

Execute and enforce the Project Execution Plan (PEP).

  • Perform inter-disciplinary quality and coordination via weekly reviews of engineering documents with project discipline Leads.
  • Responsible for ensuring the overall Project Work Plan (PWP) is kept current by all Disciplines and specifically maintains all "general" items in the PWP.
  • Represents the overall design and production in communications with the client including general progress and needs.
  • Responsible for confirming to PM adequate design and production resources are assigned to meet the project's overall cost, quality and schedule commitments.
  • Complete Engineering Start-up check list as soon as practical but not later than prior to project being ~ 5% complete.
  • Responsible for ensuring space management is conducted on the project.
  • Update Project Execution Plan (PEP) and associated material as needed when project conditions change.
  • Ensure design criteria is kept current in conjunction with change management process.
  • Manage specialty consultants not managed under other respective Disciplines.
  • Oversees the Project CAD Coordination to insure adequate hardware and software are available to the project team.
  • Final technical accountability for overall project designs and production.
  • Manage as-built / record drawings documentation, operation and maintenance manuals and hand over documentation.
  • Complete Engineering Close out check list prior to project being substantially complete by more than 30days.
  • Reports to the PM for applying processes / tools according to each project criteria.
  • Report to Project Management Discipline Director for respect of Engineering process / tools.


  • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree Preferred
  • PMP certification a Plus
  • 10 years of Experience showing increasing responsibility leading teams
  • Working knowledge of building components, process, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems a plus
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks a plus
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Word and Excel
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the capacity to maintain information confidentiality
  • Ability to lead teams to success
  • Ability to resolve conflict and solve problems while leading by example
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to travel is required
  • Travels to offsite locations
