Job Summary

The Electrical Designer I participates in a team environment consisting of engineers and designers to produce construction documents for the following systems:  power, lighting, controls, grounding, and the like.

Duties & Responsibilities

•Assists in developing electrical documents using architectural background layouts and system performance requirements defined by the project team including the architect, engineer and project manager
•Assists senior staff with services during construction, including responding to RFIs, shop drawing and submittal review, and as-built drawings
•Contributes to continuous improvement processes (CIP) of the Company
•Coordinates with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering/ internal and external)
•Assists in developing projects in compliance with engineering codes, standards, principles, relevant specifications and contractual requirements
•Assists in the production of construction documents under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and coordinate with other disciplines
•Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
•Assists in development of construction drawings, specifications, details, schedules and diagrams for electrical and lighting systems
•Assists in performing quality control reviews of work developed by others
•Other duties as assigned


•High School Diploma or GED required
•Associate’s degree with technical focus preferred 
•0+ years of experience
