Tool Install, Electrical Designer - Chandler, AZ

Job Summary

  • Actively update and refine Exyte Safety in Design specifications and checklists as related to the Tool Install Discipline.
  • Be responsible for the safety posture and results for areas of responsibility on each project.  
  • Ensure that company safety policies and Site Specific Plans are proactively communicated and consistently enforced where needed on each project. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively and utilize EHS staff as a resource for strategic and tactical implementation of EHS processes and procedures.  
  • Participate in CERT and HAZMAT training and teams as required.  
  • Coordinate design packages from concept to IFC.
  • Track design staff production and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with owners for As Built record drawings for submissions.
  • Provide Electrical Design services to design and specify power distribution, lighting, grounding and lightning protection systems.
  • Maintain panel schedules.
  • Interface with utility companies, construction supervisors, and vendors.
  • Support power quality studies, capacity studies, remediation, UPS and emergency power strategy, short circuit and load coordination studies, and control system strategies.
  • Provide technical direction to designers and drafters assigned to specific tasks.
  • Responsible for the quality of assigned tasks in the delivery of schematic and detailed designs.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA documents, and building codes.
  • Travel for project coordination when required by the company or client.
  • Able to incorporate ‘green’ features into design solutions.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


  • B.S., Electrical Engineering. 3+ years of experience and previous, semiconductor, government, and data center/mission critical facility or manufacturing project experience is required.
  • 2 - 3 years experience in semiconductor tool-install.
  • Excellent CAD skills
  • Excellent technical, organizational, and problem solving skills
