Job Summary

The Commerical Manager will be responsible for managing the overall budgeting and financial control for a high-level ($100M+) new construction project in the semiconductor industry

Duties & Responsibilities

•Expert in Head / Client Contract Management and Strategies, and experienced in multiple forms of construction and engineering forms of standard contract
•Oversees and manages client change order process
•Negotiates final amounts with client and settlement of disputes and disagreements
•Oversees billing process and responsibility for accounts receivable and cash collection
•Oversees extension of time and pricing of associated claim costs
•Expected to build strong relationships with client consultants, representatives, Project Director and internal operations teams
•Develops, maintains and reports to Client monthly project status report to include contracts changes, CPM schedules, man-hour report and other cost reports
•Supply chain management
•With the procurement team, develops contract strategies and reviews bid/contract documents
•Monitors procurement in terms of schedule and cost for profit and loss forecasting
•Supports all tender and bid proposal activity but not actively carry out procurement
•Approves supply chain billing documents
•Makes assessments of supply chain change orders, extensions of time and contractual claims
•Closes out supply chain contracts and related documentation
•Oversees and manages project financial reporting
•Ensures transparency to Management team members
•Labor forecasting, general conditions, trade costs provisions and contingencies
•Establishes and ensures company project controls and policies are implemented
•Supports and ensures risk analysis is developed and maintained throughout the project
•Works with management to understand financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency
•Effectively leads project teams including efforts towards quality control and timeliness of all products and services provided by the team(s), team-building, managing risk issues
•Other duties as assigned
 

Requirements

•High School Diploma or GED required
•Bachelor’s or Master degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred
•CPA Certification preferred 
•15+ years of experience
•10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/forecasting or similar with a focus for construction projects
